MERCY ME – FINALLY HOME MUSIC VIDEO

WATCH GOD WORK- HE DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE

I’d like you to take out your pen and a piece of paper and write down the things in your life that you feel are simply impossible.

These can include: “There’s no way I can get another job in this horrible economy.” “There’s no way I can get married now that I’m over 40.” “There’s no way I can hold on to my house with the mortgage payments as high as they are.” “There’s no way things can get any better.” “There’s no way I’ll ever get together with that person I really want to be with.” “There’s no way I’ll ever make it in this world.” “There’s no way I’ll ever find anyone to share my life with.” “There’s no way I can ever feel better.”

Now that you’ve made your list of things you feel are impossible, I’d like you to take that piece of paper, crumble it up, and toss it in the trash can. Why? Because it’s useless.

It has no bearing. And it doesn’t take into account the amazing things God can do in your life.

If you’re facing something that seems impossible today, pray.

So many people think you have to pray in a quiet room on your knees. Nonsense! A personal relationship with Christ means exactly that – you can personally pray to Him and talk to Him and even bug him about your needs and desires every second of the day.

Pray for His answer to the things you believe are impossible in your life, and watch Him work. You’ll soon be amazed to discover what so many believers have learned: God can, and often does, the impossible, no matter how impossible it may seem.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR DECISIONS!

“One of the greatest needs of the church today is that God’s people renew their minds with the Word of God. Just because a person is a Christian, and even filled with the Holy Spirit, doesn’t mean that he has a renewed mind.

The mind becomes renewed with the Word of God.”1 We need to renew our minds by reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God. In this way, we can develop our minds until we are no longer simply assenting to the truths of God’s Word, we are actually living  them.

DO YOU LIVE FOR GOD….?  IS THERE TROUBLE IN YOUR LIFE?  ARE YOU MAKING WRONG CHOICES… ?  YOU KNOW THE WAY, BUT YOU ARE DOING THINGS THAT YOU SHOULDN’T DO?

Does it matter what I do? yes it does.

You reap what you sow.

THROUGH OUR WORST TIMES

Following Jesus – What does it mean?
Following Jesus sounds so simple, but to some it is a confusing concept. Following Jesus consists of:

  • The desire to follow Him
  • Having faith in Jesus and who He is
  • Accepting the offer of eternal life He extends to us.

God can demonstrate His might, mercy, and sovereign grace through our worst times. And He says that trials make us stronger. But as His follower, we now have Jesus to help us, guide us, and comfort us through our trials — large and small. Following Jesus brings comfort and reward beyond our comprehension.

GOD’S TRUTH WILL PREVAIL –

If there were not a war and an enemy attempting to steal and pervert our faith then why would God’s Word instruct us about the need to contend for it? While we must be ready to give every man answers for why we believe (I Peter 3:15), the evidence from Scripture here again indicates that we are to be mindful of the enemy’s accusations against the truth.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Living a Holy Life

The only proof that we sincerely love the Lord Jesus Christ is a holy life.

John 14:15 reads, “If you love Me, you will obey what I command.” “Whoever has My commandments and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me” (v. 21). “If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching” (v. 23). The answer to the obedience problem is love. If you love Him, you will obey Him. “You are My friends if you do what I command” (v. 14).

If you love Jesus, you will be holy. If you love Him, you will become like Him.

If you do not obey Him, you do not love Him. If you love Him, you will obey Him. You do not love Him if you do not do what He teaches.

Because the Christian knows God, he lives a life of obedience and does not practice sin.

DO THE MATH!

Sometimes God allows us to hit the bottom in order to discover that He’s the rock at the bottom. Gideon faced an army of 135,000 troops with just 32,000 men. And 22,000 of them left the battlefield and went home when he offered them the chance. Do the math. Gideon’s thinking, ‘There’s no way we can win!’

Then God explains: ‘The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, “My own power has delivered me’’ (Jdg 7:2 NAS). There it is again, the age-old battle of ego that we all fight daily. It’s why the Lord’s Prayer ends with: ‘Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen’ (Mt 6:13).

Where does our power come from? God! Who should the glory for our accomplishments go to? God!

How long does this arrangement last? Forever!

God had to break Jacob of self-sufficiency so the ‘Israel’ within him could come out. Sometimes God has to take you down before He can raise you up.

Moses was called the meekest man on earth. But it took forty years of living as a shepherd in the wilderness to detox him of pride and get him submitted to God.

Only then was he ready to stand before Pharaoh and perform miracles that demonstrated God’s power and vindicated Moses!

Brokenness doesn’t mean being a wimp, suffering from an inferiority complex or having a case of low self-esteem. No, brokenness means praying, ‘Lord, if this job is going to get done, and done right, You’re going to have to do it through me. So my trust is in You.’

JEFF GIBB’S COMMENTS ON THE KEY TO VICTORY

Love it. In man’s eyes I worked to try to look like something. To be smart, to be handsome, to be rich, to be cooler than the next guy. Things I thought made me a success. And I failed. But because God loved me before I loved Him, He gave me something. The same thing He gave the whole world. His Son. And through that love I have confidence, something that all those other aspects of “success” could never give. I am confident that my God will never fail, because love never fails. Thanks be to God for the victory!

THE KEY TO VICTORY – TRUSTING GOD ALL THE WAY

Did you ever wonder why Jesus did not choose the smartest, best
read, religious leaders of the day to be his disciples?
Ever wonder why the New Testament just overflows with warnings
about being rich and powerful?

I’ll tell you why.  The smart man trusts to his intelligence.  The educated man trusts to his education.  The rich man trusts to his wealth.

And a great shot with the sling trusts to his aim.

But not David.  David and his smooth stones were only the
instruments that God used for God’s victory.  Lose sight of that
and you lose the key to the victory.

GOD IS CHANGING HIS PEOPLE

God is changing His people.  Praise His Holy Name.

His true people are seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
