Possessing the latest car or computer?

Achieving public recognition

Reaching your professional goal? 

Wearing the trendiest fashions?

Joining the most coveted club?

Establishing a successful career?

Marrying the perfect spouse?

Raising a model family?

Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the life.”

His life is our light, when you and I live lives that reflect Jesus. 

Are you intimidated by the darkness and not letting your light shine?

The darkness cannot overcome the light, but we can hide our light.

Did you know your light can make a difference?

Did you know your testimony can make a difference?

God has called you to make a difference in someone’s life.

SURRENDERING

Surrendering to the Lord’s will and seeking first the Kingdom of God.  Staying in the word, is what changed my life completely.

Putting God first, I don’t have to worry about my needs

Putting God first, I don’t have to worry about my health.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33),

Then peace comes, —you don’t have to worry because you have faith in God. .

Have a wonderful Christmas filled with tremendous blessing, and may God grant us the willingness to reach the nations with the Gospel.

PAYING THE FARE TO GET BACK IN THE WILL OF GOD

‘Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish.’

  • Jnh 1:3 NKJV
  • Ninevah was about 550 miles east of Jonah. Tarshish was 2500 miles west of him.
  • Rather than go 550 miles in God’s will, Jonah decided to go 2500 miles out of it.
  • I’ve done this!
  • God says, ‘Go here,’ but you go there. The bad news is you have to come back from your side track rebellion and then go ahead and do the will of God anyway.
  • Lessons from Jonah – When you run from God you have to pay the fare back to the right place.
  • ’He… found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare’ (v.3 NKJV).
  • Don’t blame God when you lose money… God didn’t tell you to go the long way around to obedience.
  • Many of us are paying a high price for our Tarshish trip,
  • God’s way was best.
  • When we disobey we not only mess ourselves up, but a lot of people around us.
  • Are you messing up the lives of others because of your rebellion? Think about it;
  • You cannot run from God…..you can’t escape doing what He’s calling you to do.
  • It was only repentence in the belly of the great fish that brought improvement.
  • Do the right thing before you get swallowed up.
